A Letter from the CEO

Greetings! Welcome to the Amp Up Your Workforce issue!

Workforce development is still the most crucial issue that we face together in 2020. A solid workforce is the foundation to your business and IECRM is dedicated to providing relevant services and benefits, working behind-the-scenes in partnership with state and county workforce development organizations to create and ensure a skilled workforce pipeline for IECRM members.

In this issue, read about all of the free member benefits to help you find the next generation electrician: upcoming Career Fairs, the online Job Board, our Hire List. 

Check out what’s new with workforce development, outreach, training, and advocacy. Our committees at work, engagement with the state and county Workforce Development centers, and many other services IECRM delivers every day to support your business. Please take a moment and refamiliarize yourself, and your human resources staff, with the valuable benefits and tools highlighted in this article to amp up your workforce.

IECRM offers its members an Online Job Board as a member benefit to post job openings. Our website has an average of 4,000 visitors per month consisting of prospective/aspiring electricians, career changers, and licensed electricians. Your job listings are sure to get attention from your target market. The Online Job Board is one of the easiest tools we offer, and we encourage members to use it when they have job openings at all levels in your company to fill!

Read how to become an Employer of Choice by using the Summit Awards to boost your reputation and recognize your team for outstanding work. IECRM encourages its Members, General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, and Industry Partners to take advantage of the exclusive opportunity to participate in one of the industry’s most prestigious events of the year. Enter your company or employee for an award, submit a nomination for an award, or simply attend to show support for this year’s winners and celebrate the successes of this dynamic growing industry. There’s no time to delay! Nominations are due Tuesday, March 31st by 5pm via the simplified, online form. Don’t let the opportunity to shine pass you by!

For 14 years, we’ve recognized excellence in the energy, electrical, and green building fields through the prestigious Summit Awards. The annual awards ceremony and banquet will be held at The Cable Center at DU on Thursday, April 23rd.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

 

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.


We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy


We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.


● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

 

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
