Schneider Electric received the Graybar Supplier Excellence Award at the Graybar National Training Conference in Phoenix. This award is presented semi-annually to recognize a product manufacturer that has collaborated with Graybar in an exceptional manner to successfully grow profitable business together. 

Integrity Electrical Solutions was awarded the BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Trust, Small Business Category, during the 11th Annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust in Denver. In its press release, BBB states that the company “emphasizes the importance of customer service, happy employees, accountability and community commitment.”

iPhone 5

iSupportU in Boulder is now repairing iPhone 5 screens.

iSupportU, an IT company based in Boulder, is happy to announce that they are now repairing iPhone 5 screens. Also, the company offers Free Check-Up Fridays every week at their Pearl Street location.

Kate Raabe and the other attorneys at Stettner Miller are joining the national labor and employment law firm, Fisher & Phillips LLP. Starting November 4, 2013, they will be working from their new location at 1801 California Street, Suite 2700, in Denver. North American Video (NAV), a national provider of integrated security technology, was awarded Market Partner of the Year in the Banking and Finance Market by Axis Communications. The award was presented to David Jensen, NAV Colorado Operations Manager, at the US Axis Partner Conference.

Spectrum Mobile Services, a minority-owned company with more than 15 years of experience in the wireless management industry, added two new people to its team: Alex Kenyon ([email protected]) and Toni Marlow ([email protected]).

Thomas & Betts published a new brochure, “Electrical Solutions for Commercial and Institutional Facilities,”  that provides product solutions for challenges typically encountered in commercial and institutional buildings. 

Networking News

In early October, the IECRM Safety Committee facilitated a free Safety Panel Discussion on Safe Work Practices in the Trades. Thank you to everyone who attended, our panelists (Matt Olge of JE Dunn, Mike Bullock of Milender White, Al Fisher of Northern Electric, Jim Cosgrave of GE Johnson, and Thomas White of Haselden), our Safety Committee members, and Pinnacol Assurance for providing lunch for everyone.

Unser Racing Happy Hour

On October 3rd, we let off some steam at Unser Racing for our Grand Finale Happy Hour of the year, which was sponsored by QED. Top Three Racers were Pete Farreny of Weifield Group ContractingMichael Gortari of QED, and Stefan Boehm of Easter-Owens. The networking event drew participants from All Copy Products, Bauerle & Company, PC, Encore Electric, Inc., Legrand Cablofil, Network Insurance Services, and QED, just to name a few! See pictures here and check out our Facebook page for even more photos!

Education News

Welcome to the 130 new students who registered for our Late Start semester! Classes kicked off this week. Our student body now includes over 700 future electricians, more students than we’ve had in years!

In the Career College continuing education realm, we offered 3 successful classes in October — two PDU classes and OSHA 10. Sign up for upcoming continuing education classes here.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

 

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.


We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy


We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.


● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

 

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
