Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes High Point Electric West as the recipient of the Commercial Project Award ($250,000–$500,000) during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
High Point Electric West (Category A, representing companies with 1–50 employees) earned recognition for transforming a 1981 facility into a modern, energy-efficient community hub that supports spiritual growth, education, and service. A comprehensive electrical overhaul elevated the building’s infrastructure to meet today’s standards for safety, efficiency, and operational performance, seamlessly integrating advanced lighting controls, audiovisual systems, and upgraded power distribution. Delivered in just six months within an occupied facility, the project exemplifies exceptional coordination, adaptability, and collaboration with the construction and design partners.
IECRM Board Members David Jones of QED and Leighland Gutierrez of Frontier Controls Corp. presented the awards. Together, they also served as co-founders of each other’s “fan club,” reflecting their strong partnership and shared commitment to celebrating excellence within the industry.
The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating the accomplishments and continued growth of the industry.
