Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Exceed Electrical Contracting as the recipient of the Residential Multi-Family Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Exceed Electrical Contracting earned recognition for delivering a complex, high-rise residential project that redefined electrical infrastructure as a strategic asset within a dense urban environment.
The winning project, 955 Bannock, is a 98-unit, 152,000-square-foot, two-year multi-family development that seamlessly integrates power distribution, life safety systems, EV readiness, and advanced lighting controls. The project successfully balanced evolving architectural requirements with budget constraints, schedule demands, and long-term system scalability.
Its innovative approach to vertical power distribution, life safety integration, and proactive planning exemplifies excellence in multi-family construction, delivering a resilient, future-ready building without compromising performance or architectural intent. The result ensures long-term reliability, efficiency, and adaptability in a high-density residential setting.

Allan Matsuo with Matsuo Engineering presented the Residential Category awards. Allan serves on the Events Committee, co-chairs the Membership Committee, and has been the float captain for the IECRM Sparkling Ice Castle in the 9NEWS Parade of Lights for nine years and counting.
The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating the accomplishments and continued growth of the industry.
