Colorado Electrical CEU & License Renewal On Schedule for September

With just about three months to go until the September deadline for Colorado electrical license renewal in September, contractors still have time to fulfill Colorado, Wyoming, or New Mexico electrician license renewal requirements by taking 24 hours of electrical CEU classes now. A minimum of 4 hours of NEC Changes is required and a maximum of 4 hours of Safety Training will qualify. Click here to view all upcoming CEU Classes.

Licenses are required to be renewed every three years coinciding with the release of the updated National Electrical Code. At this time, NEC 2020 will be released in August and the renewal deadline in Colorado remains September 30, 2020.

IECRM CEU classes:

  • Meet the criteria of the Colorado State Electrical Board
  • Are approved for Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico electrician continuing education

CEU: Grounding and Bonding
(4 or 8 hours CEU credit)

This class provides an overview of Article 250 from the NEC, covering line and load side, grounding and bonding.

CEU: Wiring Methods
(4 or 8 hours CEU credit)

This class provides an overview of Article 300 including different types of installations, raceways, and the new requirements for conductors.

CEU: 2014 NEC Changes Class
(4 or 8 hours CEU credit)

This class will help you understand the newest changes to the NEC (a minimum of 4 hours of NEC Changes is required).

CEU: Theory and Calculations
(4 or 8 hours CEU credit)

This class provides an overview of Code Calculations and Ohm’s Law based on the NEC.

CEU: License Exam Prep Class
(20 hours CEU credit)

IECRM offers a six-week course, held on Wednesday nights, for apprentice electricians preparing to take the Colorado RW (Residential Wireman), JW (Journeyman Electrician), or ME (Master Electrician) licensing exam. This course is also Wyoming-approved.

CEU: Advanced Motor Controls
(16 hours CEU credit)

Advanced Motor Controls is an expert-level class that will help you fine-tune your motor controls troubleshooting skills. Motor controls are a very specific skill that has a tremendous demand in the marketplace. This detailed course reinforces the knowledge of industrial process control, diagram, hands-on motor control skills, PLR & PLC programming.

CEU: NFPA 70e
(4 hours CEU credit)

This class focuses on the latest NFPA 70e arc flash electrical safety standard that addresses arc flash electrical safety requirements for employee workplaces that are necessary for the practical safety of employees.DORA

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

 

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.


We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy


We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.


● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

 

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
