A letter from Marilyn Akers Stansbury, IECRM CEO

Where has the summer gone? I hope that you all have had a great summer, enjoyed a marvelous vacation or time off, and are eagerly looking ahead to autumn.

IECRM is on a roll, once again! We’ve broken our enrollment record this year and exceeded last year’s numbers by 20 percent. In early October, we will be rolling into St. Louis for the IEC National Convention and Expo to defend our chapter’s IEC National award titles from last year and cheer on Michael Curtis of Integrity Electrical Solutions as he competes in the IEC National Wire-Off Competition for the grand title of National Apprentice of the Year. It’s time for Roll Call! IECRM Board of Directors nominations is now open, click here to learn more. Between now and the end of the year, we’ll be rolling out new leadership on our board of directors.

It’s been a busy time for IECRM this summer with registration and orientation for new students, the recent Back to the Future Back to School Open House, and our SOLD OUT annual golf tournament. Bragging rights: IECRM hit a new high in enrollment – 1,876 students which is 20% higher than 2018.

“Late-Start” Open Enrollment for IECRM members is now open, click here for important dates. Non-member registration begins Monday, September 9. We expect to fill up quickly, so don’t delay. Contractors/ employers: Register your students using our new FlashPoint system. If you have not yet received your FlashPoint credentials, please fill out this short Google Form or email [email protected].

It’s the last call to register for IEC’s most popular event, IEC Convention & Expo 2019, October 2-5 at America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, MO. If you have never been to the National IEC annual conference, convention, and expo, you don’t know what you’re missing! From seminars on how to develop your business, to learning about the latest technology and industry topics, and networking with the strong community of your fellow merit shop electrical contractors with the wide variety of classes, networking, and the Expo Hall. Meet me in St. Louis, along with other IECRM members, for the electrical event of the year!

Looking toward 2020, IECRM is your one-stop for the State of Colorado’s new requirement of 24 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for ALL electrical licenses, click here for a list of upcoming CEUs. IECRM makes it easy to complete your required hours. Also be sure to offer your workforce the 10% discount if they sign up as a group. Read more about grou discounts here.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
