IECRM BACK-TO-SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE – FUN FOR ALL AGES

On Friday, August 16th the IECRM community including members, non-members, students, alumni, and their friends and families attended the annual Back-to-School Open House and Ice Cream social at the Northglenn campus. Colleagues, families, and friends enjoyed food, drinks, ice cream, fun activities, and great prizes.

The Back to the Future theme provided the backdrop for the fun while Doc Brown and Marty McFly roamed the event entertaining guests and posing for photos.

Several tours were conducted of the campus and labs.  It was a great opportunity to meet IECRM instructors, staff, students, and alumni as well as to learn about NEW benefits that will drive careers into the future.

Special guests Becky Takada-Tinker, president of CSU Global, and Jennifer O’Connor, Apprenticeship Manager at Emily Griffith Technical College, joined IECRM CEO Marilyn Stansbury to announce a newly formed partnership among the three organizations to provide greater educational opportunities and services to students seeking to pursue subsequent higher education upon completion of their electrical apprenticeship.

Students & Alumni learned more about the benefits and rewards of being an IECRM student/alumni including discounts offered to apprentices on tools, products, and services from vendors and affiliates as well as visit with representatives from Emily Griffith Technical College and CSU Global to learn how IECRM graduates earn college credits and how alumni can use college credits earned through the IECRM apprenticeship program toward a bachelor degree to expand their career potential.

A big thank you goes to Rexel USA for sponsoring the ice cream sundae station. Rexel supplied the delicious ice cream, fun toppings, and a crew to help out. What a great treat on a hot summer day!

Office Sensei sponsored a t-shirt making station that proved to be a Sensei-sensation craft activity for both the kids and adults. Adults and kids alike were able to create their very own designs and then have them transferred to a t-shirt that was ready-to-wear in an instant!

In all, it was a fun day with something for everyone. A big thanks to our Event Task Force members for the creative ideas that made this event a success:

Allan Matsuo, Matsuo Engineering

Bryan Beckett, Office Sensei

Cynthia Teekasingh, Rexel

Justin Garrison, Johnson Controls

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
