With the possible suspension of SNAP benefits, some families, including members of our apprenticeship community, may face additional challenges accessing food and essential resources. IECRM wants to make sure those affected know where to turn for support.
Available resources include:
- Local food banks and pantries: Organizations like Feeding America and local human services offices can help you find food banks in your area. Visit the “Find a Local Food Bank” tab for up-to-date information.
- United Way and partner agencies: Call or text 211, a 24/7 confidential service connecting you to programs that provide assistance with housing, food, and financial stability.
If you or someone you know may be affected by changes to SNAP benefits, share these resources with them. These resources can provide immediate help and support during this difficult time.
