Expand your skills in the growing electric vehicle industry while earning 20 Colorado electrical CEUs. IECRM and Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) are partnering to offer the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Training Program (EVCSTP), with scholarship funding available for a limited number of qualified applicants.

Program Details

• 24 hours of instructor-led training
• Six instructional modules
• Curriculum updated to the 2026 National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Taught by licensed Colorado Journeyman and Master Electricians (JW/ME)
• 100-question proficiency exam
• Curriculum aligned with national guidelines recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor

20 CEU Hours

• 11 Hours: Wiring Methods
• 1 Hour: Grounding & Bonding
• 4 Hours: Theory & Calculations
• 4 Hours: Safety

Certification

Upon successful completion of the program and proficiency exam, participants will receive EVCSTP certification to service and install electric vehicle charging stations.

Participants who are not yet licensed electricians may perform EV charging station work under the supervision of a licensed electrician, in accordance with applicable requirements and the 2026 NEC.

Scholarship Opportunity

Scholarship funding is available for a limited number of qualified applicants. Participants must pay the program fee upfront at registration. After registering, eligible participants will receive an application to apply for reimbursement through the scholarship program.

Reimbursement is subject to eligibility, approval and available funding.
