Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Matt Matheny of CED – Consolidated Electrical Distributors as the recipient of the 2026 Industry Partner of the Year Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
The Industry Partner of the Year Award recognizes outstanding engagement, contributions, and support of the energy, electrical, and construction industry. This year’s award honors both the long-standing commitment of CED and the leadership of Matt Matheny.
CED has been a consistent IECRM member for 38 years and remains one of the organization’s two longest-serving industry partners. Throughout nearly four decades of involvement, the company has continually supported IECRM through sponsorships, event participation, and in-kind contributions across countless programs and initiatives.
Matt Matheny was recognized for his personal dedication to strengthening the association and industry community. Over the past year, he helped recruit new members to IECRM, encouraged industry professionals to serve on committees, and recently served as keynote speaker for an IECRM State of the Industry dinner.
Matheny also organized a cornhole tournament on behalf of IECRM, which successfully resulted in additional member engagement and new company memberships. His leadership, industry expertise, and thoughtful contributions to the IECRM Board of Directors continue to make a meaningful impact on the organization and the industry as a whole.

The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating the accomplishments and continued growth of the industry.
