Marilyn Akers Stansbury Nominated for Woman of Metro North Award by the Metro North Chamber & Colorado Women’s Chamber

The Metro North Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce Marilyn Akers Stansbury, CEO of the Independent Electrical Contractors – Rocky Mountain Chapter as a nominee in the Woman of Metro North category.

“We received more than one hundred nominations for this inaugural event, and we are honored to recognize Marilyn,who is part of an incredibly talented group of women business leaders in the Metro North region,” said Gregg Moss, President and CEO of the Metro North Chamber. “We look forward to honoring these amazing women in five categories: STEAM Innovator, Champion of Diversity, Philanthropist, Millennial Leader and Woman of the Metro North. The winner of each category is a highly selective process. Marilyn’s nomination is a testament to her incredible success in business and this community.

The winners will be announced at a cocktail reception and awards program on Thursday, August 30 from 5 – 8pm at the Waymire Dome at the Riverdale Regional Park and Fairgrounds (9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton, CO). This will be a very special evening of empowerment and celebration.

Ted Talk phenom and viral media sensation, Michelle Poler, will deliver a talk that will change people’s perception of fear and help them turn obstacles into opportunities.
