IECRM: Why Sponsorships & Fundraisers Matter
Throughout the year, we often get the question: “What do fundraisers and sponsorships help provide that our annual membership dues don’t?”
IECRM is a 501(c)6 nonprofit trade association. As such, we hold several fundraising events throughout the year to support the services we provide to our members. Every professional association, in order to keep member dues reasonable, faces the challenge of bringing in additional revenue in order to operate efficiently and formulate creative ways to keep funds flowing to support many additional resources and member benefits.
IECRM balances membership revenue with fundraising events and sponsorships to help support:
- Workforce Development Initiatives
- Multiple Career Fairs
- A Legislative Voice for the Industry
- O/A Administration
- Online Job Board
- Outreach to Schools and Communities
- Continuing Education Classes
- Free Safety Forums
- Industry Gatherings and Education
- Job-Site Safety Initiatives
- The Energy Expo & Wire-Off
- Apprentice Graduation
- Quarterly Member Luncheons
- National Apprenticeship Week initiatives
- Apprentice Appreciation activities
- And more…
Events that many of you generously underwrite, through sponsorships and ticket sales, are designed to create fun networking gatherings, build community awareness and visibility, and help market career opportunities in electrical contracting, include:
- Our prestigious Summit Awards
- Annual Clay Shoot
- General Contractor Forum & Beer/Wine Tasting
- Open House & Back-to-School IECReaM Social
- Annual Golf Tournament
- State of the Industry Dinner & Board of Director Elections
- Parade of Lights Holiday Party
In return, IECRM works on your behalf to help you leverage your sponsorship in marketing to mutual benefit. This helps increase credibility, visibility, and rapport within employee, customer, and colleague communities.
