Last week, May 4–8, 2026, the Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain community took time to recognize and celebrate the instructors who help shape the next generation of electricians.
To show appreciation, IECRM delivered handmade pies from Granny Scott’s Pie Shop to instructors across the Denver metro area, while instructors outside the region received sweet deliveries from Insomnia Cookies and Crumbl Cookies.
IECRM also invited students to share their appreciation by posting Google reviews recognizing instructors who made a meaningful impact on their apprenticeship experience. The intention was simple: create space for apprentices to say thank you and highlight the instructors who consistently go above and beyond in the classroom and in the field.
A total of six student reviewers and their featured instructors were randomly selected as a small thank-you for participating. Each selected student reviewer received a tool prize available for pickup at the IECRM Northglenn campus during normal business hours, and winning instructors will receive a gift card available for pickup at the campus.
2026 Instructor Appreciation Highlights
- Ross Ingenice recognized Skylar Brewster — “Taking the time to teach us after a full day on the job isn’t easy.”
- Alexandra Eitel recognized Brian Kelly — “Excellent at building community in the classroom.”
- Vauwn Lerma recognized Mike Butler — “One of the best teachers I’ve ever had.”
- Frankie Morales recognized Joe Tate — “Very thorough and detailed during all my classes.”
- Gary Seybold recognized Thomas Rainville — “The perfect dose of knowledge, understanding, and logical teaching.”
- Javier Ramirez recognized Mike Neuschwanger — “He takes time to show the class step by step… patient, supportive, and always willing to help. He is making the future of this trade strong, knowledgeable and better for the next generation.”
Taken together, these messages reflect a much larger sentiment shared across all submissions: IECRM instructors are making a lasting impact every single day.
Instructors are not only teaching electrical theory and code—they are breaking down complex calculations, sharing real-world jobsite experience, and helping apprentices build confidence while balancing demanding work schedules. Many students noted how their instructors treat them with patience, respect, and genuine care, even after long days in the field.
IECRM is also actively looking to grow its instructor team. Experienced electricians who are passionate about mentoring the next generation are encouraged to explore teaching opportunities and help shape the future of the trade.
