Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes High Point Electric West as the recipient of the Energy Efficiency: Solar Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
High Point Electric West (Category B, representing companies with 51–100 employees) earned recognition for an innovative solar installation that redefined how distributed energy systems can be integrated into residential design. The award was presented on behalf of IECRM by Greg Livin of Wipfli, an IECRM Board Member and Treasurer.
The winning project, Solar Fence Project, transformed a 250-foot privacy fence into a high-performance 26.4-kilowatt bifacial solar energy system; seamlessly blending architecture, functionality, and clean power. The project stands out for its innovative departure from traditional rooftop installations, integrating advanced solar technology, battery storage, and intelligent energy management into a fully cohesive, whole-home energy solution.
The system maximized incentives and demonstrated exceptional technical precision, durability, and a forward-thinking approach to energy independence.
The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating the accomplishments and continued growth of the industry.
