Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Benchmark Electrical Solutions and Frontier Controls Group as the recipients of the 2026 Contractor Member & Industry Partner Collaboration Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.

Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

The Contractor Member & Industry Partner Collaboration Award recognizes an IECRM electrical contractor and industry partner who demonstrate outstanding partnership, collaboration, and shared excellence on a special project or through consistent performance within the electrical industry.

Benchmark Electrical Solutions and Frontier Controls Group are recognized for their exceptional collaboration on the Amtrak Train Station Platform Snow Melt Project in Granby, Colorado. The project showcases a fully integrated team from design through commissioning. Together, they combined engineering expertise and field constructability to deliver a highly complex, custom-engineered snow-melting and de-icing system—coordinating design, fabrication, and installation with precision and adaptability. Their transparent communication, shared accountability, and ability to quickly solve challenges set a benchmark for partnership, resulting in a high-performance installation that advances safety, reliability, and innovation in public infrastructure and serves as a model for similar transit facilities operating in extreme climates.

Jason Jones, Principal of Legacy Electrical Partners, IECRM Board of Directors member, IECRM and IEC National Emerging Leaders alumnus, and current mentee serving on national committees, presented the Mears Group award on stage. 

The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating excellence and continued growth in the electrical construction industry.
