Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Encore Electric as the recipient of the 2026 Electrical Industry Excellence in Innovation Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
The Electrical Industry Innovation Award recognizes an innovative business solution, workplace practice, product, service, or technology that meaningfully benefits or enhances the electrical industry.
Encore Electric is recognized for its work on the Colorado School of Mines Energy and Minerals Research Facility, a groundbreaking project that pioneered the full off-site fabrication and assembly of complete electrical rooms—delivered as finished, install-ready modules. This “first-of-its-kind” approach transformed traditional construction by improving safety, quality, and efficiency through controlled, factory-style production while dramatically accelerating project schedules and reducing on-site congestion. By creating a repeatable, scalable model for prefabricated electrical infrastructure, this project redefines how complex electrical systems can be delivered in modern construction.
Jason Jones, Principal of Legacy Electrical Partners, IECRM Board of Directors member, IECRM and IEC National Emerging Leaders alumnus, and current mentee serving on national committees, presented the Mears Group award on stage.
The 20th Annual Summit Awards brought together electrical contractors, industry partners, apprentices, and professionals from across the region for an evening celebrating excellence and continued growth in the electrical construction industry.
