A Message from Paul Lingo, IECRM’s Training Director

IECRM has updated policies and classes. Please read below to find out more!

In-person classes – In-person classes will be offered for the 2021-22 training program! Those that select in-person classes will have an option to attend class online on an as-needed basis only and will be required to attend in-person on exam nights.

Online classes – Students that select online classes will attend 100% online. Please select the online option if you are unable to attend in person.

Placement Exam Policy – IECRM has updated the Placement Exam Policy effective May 1, 2021. New students will have the option to test out of first-year and those with transcripts from a trade-related program will be able to test out as well. The updated policy will require those with trade-related transcripts with a below-passing score on the placement exam to take an overview course before starting the next school year.

Placement Exams must be scheduled and taken by July 1, 2021. There is a $75 placement exam fee per exam. This fee is waived for those with trade-related transcripts. For those needing the remedial course, this will be offered on July 16, 2021. Registration and pricing will be available by June 14th. Please contact the IECRM office at 303-853-4866 to schedule your exam.

There are two semesters per school year (August-December and January-May), and registration is required for each. Training is available in-person in Denver, Parker, Ft. Collins, or Live-Online.

Due to the demand for electrical apprentice training, IECRM also offers a LATE START program for First-Year Students. Enrollment for the late start program opens in mid-September of each year and will close the last Friday in September or when all seats are filled. Classes begin in October and the year ends in June of the following year. Fast Track and the 1st-Year class offered in Spanish are not available for the LATE START program.

“Virtually all of our students leave our program with no debt, a full-time job, skills that take them anywhere, and a living wage to support a family,” says Marilyn Stansbury, CEO of IECRM.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
