Annual Policy Forum – A Post-Election Recap & Pre-Session Overview
Thursday, November 15
7:00 – 9:00 am
November 6 is Election Day across the United States and the stakes could not be higher than in Colorado. If they have not already, Coloradans will be exposed to political TV ads for various election candidates and initiatives in the coming weeks. Mail-in ballots have arrived in mailboxes and 13 state issues sit on the 2018 Colorado ballot, ranging from fracking rules to transportation to funding for public education. All of Colorado’s executive officers will be up for election as well as all of Colorado’s seven seats in the United States House of Representatives.
The IECRM Government Relations Committee will host the Annual IECRM Policy Forum on November 15th 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. This year’s Policy Forum will include a post-election re-cap including results of the Governor’s race, state legislative and congressional races, and is also a celebration of National Apprenticeship Week highlighting federal and state efforts that support apprenticeships and skilled trades.
Special guests include leaders from the Colorado Legislature and IEC National. Please invite your colleagues and industry peers to attend this annual preview of legislative issues impacting business, workforce development, and the electrical industry.
You do not have to be on the committee or commit to anything to attend except your time….and a few calories for breakfast and coffee! Sign up here to attend.
