IECRM’s first career fair of 2025, held on Thursday, March 20, attracted a record-breaking attendance of 150 job seekers. Seven electrical contractors were present; two companies were looking to fill a combined total of over 60 1st-year apprentice positions for the spring and summer months. The remaining five contractors were hiring for 6 to 10 (entry-level and experienced) positions each, offering job seekers a well-balanced range of opportunities. Overall, the event was a great success!
Here’s a breakdown of how attendees heard about the career fair:
- 33% learned about the event through email (emails are sent to anyone who signed up for more info on myelectriccareer.com, everyone on the hire list, everyone who signed up for more info from the IECRM website, and those who called in asking about the apprenticeship.
- 32% learned about the event through radio ads.
- 13% heard about it from a friend (word of mouth).
- 12% found out about it through online searches and social media.
- 10% learned from Masters Apprentice, previous AMPLIFY attendees, high school, career fair, and other outreach.
