IECRM Wire-Off Goes Live on Facebook on May 29th
Tune in on May 29th between 8 AM and 4 PM and cheer on your favorite 4th-Year Apprentice as we live-stream on Facebook the day-long competition to test the skills and knowledge of IECRM’s top apprentices.
This year, the Wire-Off competitors are comprised of 10 IECRM 4th-year students with the highest G.P.A. of the apprenticeship program. The students must rely on their knowledge of the National Electric Code, paired with practical on-the-job training that they’ve acquired during their apprenticeship and training at IECRM. They also demonstrate their proficiency in basic motor control circuits, line diagrams, materials, and circuit installation throughout the competition.
“The competition to get to the top five finalists for the May 29th event has been exemplary,” says Paul Lingo, IECRM’s Training Director. “These five finalists will compete for the title of IECRM’s Apprentice of the Year.”
Each competitor will receive gifts from the IECRM Contractors and Industry Partners for their participation. The first-place winner will represent IECRM in the IEC National Competition later this fall in New Orleans.
The 4th year skills challenge final competitors are:
- James Winne, Cemex
- Darren Lange, Weifield Group
- Ryan Slayton, Denver Water
- John Green, Encore Electric
- Juan Blohm, Namasté Solar
Congratulations Competitors!
