Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Brian Slota as the recipient of the 2026 Instructor of the Year Award during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Presented annually, the IECRM Summit Awards celebrate excellence across the electrical construction industry, honoring companies, projects, and individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, craftsmanship, safety, workforce development, and community impact throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
The Instructor of the Year Award is selected by an instructor’s peers and supported by student feedback. This award recognizes an instructor who exemplifies dedication, professionalism, and excellence in electrical education and training.
Brian Slota consistently earns outstanding evaluations and has made a lasting impact on his students and fellow instructors. As a pioneer in IECRM’s education program, he was among the first online instructors when the program launched in 2011.
Over the past 15 years, Slota has adapted alongside evolving technology and played a key role in shaping the delivery of IECRM’s online education. His commitment extends well beyond the virtual and physical classroom, demonstrated through perfect attendance, willingness to step in when needed, leadership in instructor training, and ongoing support of Saturday labs, Motor Control instruction, and PLC training.
Slota is widely recognized as a trusted leader, dependable teammate, and dedicated educator whose contributions reflect true service to the industry.
