1. Donate to IECRM and get a 25% tax credit!
Did you know the State of Colorado allows you to take a 25% tax credit on your state income taxes when you donate to IECRM because of its designation as an Enterprise Zone?
The Enterprise Zone Program encourages job creation and capital investment in economically depressed areas by providing tax credits to businesses and projects promoting and encouraging economic development activities. Please see the example below to see how a donation to IECRM can benefit you from a tax standpoint.
Example based on a deduction of a $1,000 donation: If you were in the 28% tax bracket for federal income tax purposes, this donation would decrease your federal tax liability by $280 plus a reduction of Colorado tax liability in the amount of $46. The contribution would also qualify for the 25% Enterprise Zone Credit. In this example, this credit would be $250 and available to offset the Colorado income tax liability. The total federal and state tax savings generated by your $1,000 donation would be $576.
Send a check payable to IECRM 11429 Pearl Street, Northglenn, CO 802333, with “Enterprise Zone Donation” noted on the check, or contact Kori Hemans, IECRM CFO, with any questions [email protected] or 303-853-4886.
2. Support IECRM’s Legislative Advocacy for the Electrical Construction Industry by Donating to the PAC Fund
The IECRM PAC Fund, established by the association, raises collective funds to back legislative candidates and effectively advocate for the independent electrical contractor and the construction industry. With the legislative session starting in January, donations are needed now more than ever.
The IECRM Government Relations Committee actively tracks federal, state, and local legislative matters affecting our industry, including Workforce Development, Labor & Employment, and Economic & Infrastructure Development. The committee proactively builds relationships and educates key decision-makers about our industry. Presenting a united front for the sector requires funding and resources.
Please consider making an individual contribution of up to $625 directly to the IECRM PAC Fund today. Your PAC donation will help support state legislative candidates championing our industry’s key issues.
