Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes LEI Companies as the recipient of the Commercial Project Award ($2,000,000–$6,000,000) during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.

LEI Companies (Category B, representing companies with 51–100 employees) earned recognition for delivering a fully integrated electrical and low-voltage system for new ground-up facilities within a highly constrained, mission-critical airport environment.

The winning project, Southwest Airlines GUB and Cargo, required lighting, lighting controls, security raceways, BDA raceways, tele/data raceways, and lighting protection without disrupting ongoing operations. One aspect of the project included complex steel-encased boring beneath an active tarmac, requiring precise coordination with the project team, to ensure safety, efficiency, and uninterrupted airport operations.
