Denver, CO — Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain proudly recognizes Bret’s Electric as the recipient of the Commercial Project Award ($2,000,000–$6,000,000) during the 20th Annual Summit Awards held April 16, 2026, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Bret’s Electric (Category A, representing companies with 1–50 employees) earned recognition for delivering a complex multi-story senior living facility with highly coordinated electrical and life-safety systems.
The winning project, Stanford Senior Living, is a five-story electrical build that delivered resilient power distribution, life-safety systems, and more than 4,400 lighting fixtures for a 140,000-square-foot senior living community in Fort Collins, with 144 units including memory care.
Despite tight site constraints, evolving life-safety requirements, and late-stage design changes, the team stayed ahead—using proactive solutions like pre-installed sleeves, early BDA infrastructure, and strategic conduit routing to eliminate rework and protect the schedule.
Beyond the technical achievement, the project stands out for its leadership—driven by a respected foreman whose mentorship elevated both the team and the outcome.
