Legislative Advocacy for the Industry – We Need Your Voice!
There is strength in numbers. This legislative session needs more representation for the independent electrical contracting industry!
Join us on Wednesday, February 14th at 7:30 a.m. Via Zoom for a special IECRM Member Forum on Advocacy and the 2024 Colorado Legislative Session. IECRM is working with House and Senate sponsors on a bill intended to clarify various aspects of state electrical licensure, DORA jurisdiction and scopes of work related to electrical installations, including creating a workforce pathway for solar technicians to enter a career as a licensed electrician. Please RSVP for the zoom link.
If you are interested in actively participating in representing and advocating for the independent electrical contracting industry, whether at the State Capitol or via text and email communications, please sign up for the IECRM Government Relations Committee.
The committee is open to current members of IECRM and meets virtually during the Jan-May legislative session on the first and third Wednesdays at 7:30 am. As a collective group, members review proposed legislation and take action to support, monitor or oppose legislation that will impact the industry. Sign up to be in the know and help elevate the voice of the independent electrical contracting industry.
FOR ALL BILLS currently in review, please refer to the 2024 IECRM Bill Tracker:

From time to time during the legislative session, you may receive an ACTION ALERT email from [email protected] requesting your engagement to testify, call, email a member of the legislature or congress; or to respond with examples that will help the IECRM association understand a proposed impact on the industry. We value and NEED YOUR VOICE when those alerts are distributed.
