On Friday, May 3rd, IECRM, the Largest IEC Electrical Training Program in the U.S., held its annual “Wire-Off” Competition at its main campus in Northglenn, CO, where ten top-ranking students from each year of the Four-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program put their skills and knowledge to the test in LIVE competitions throughout the day. Aaron McMurray, a 4th-year apprentice, took 1st place and will move on to represent IECRM in the National competition this fall in Tampa, FL, as he competes with other IEC Wire-Off winners from around the country for the coveted title of Apprentice of the Year (AOY). The competitors’ employers, friends, and family were invited to watch the competition live via IECRM’s YouTube channel and in person throughout the day. Click here to see photos of the 2024 Wire-Off.
The IECRM Wire-Off winners for each apprenticeship year are listed below. The competitors in bold will join IECRM at IEC Spark in Tampa, FL, to cheer on Aaron as he competes in the national competition.
