IECRM’s 2021 Membership Renewal; Why Sponsorships & Fundraisers Matter

It’s coming to be the time of year when we all are planning out the next calendar and fiscal year, budgeting for membership dues and annual sponsorships.

Throughout the year, we often get the question: “What do fundraisers and sponsorships help provide that annual dues don’t?”

IECRM is a 501c6 nonprofit contractor association. As such, we hold several fundraising events throughout the year to support the services we provide to our members. Every professional association, in order to keep member dues reasonable, faces the challenge of bringing in additional revenue in order to operate efficiently and formulate creative ways to keep funds flowing to support many additional resources and member benefits.

It can be an overwhelming task. But thankfully, we believe we’ve found a way to balance dues and tuition revenue with additional funding from fundraising events and sponsorships to help support our important initiatives such as:

  • Workforce Development Initiatives
  • Multiple Career Fairs
  • CO Office of Apprenticeship Administration
  • Online Job Board
  • Outreach to Schools and Communities
  • Continuing Education Classes
  • Free Member and Safety Forums
  • Industry Gatherings and Education
  • Job-Site Safety Initiatives
  • A Legislative Voice for the Industry
  • And more…

Events that many of you generously underwrite, through sponsorships and ticket sales, are designed to create fun and networking, build community awareness and visibility, and help market career opportunities in electrical contracting. Even in a year with a global pandemic, IECRM has created meaningful ways to connect with members through the following events:

  • Our prestigious Summit Awards
  • Annual Golf Tournament
  • Annual Clay Shoot
  • Weekly/ Monthly Member and Safety Forums
  • State of the Industry/Annual Business Meeting
  • Apprentice Student Graduation Ceremony
  • National Apprenticeship Week
  • Downtown Denver Parade of Lights

In return, IECRM works on your behalf to help you leverage your sponsorship marketing benefits. This helps increase credibility, visibility, and rapport within employee, customer and colleague communities.

IECRM’s year-round corporate sponsorship opportunities provide far more than a “one and done” donation or fundraiser. It gives you continual visibility and provides IECRM with consistent revenue to support our ability to bring our members and partners the benefits we endeavor to provide. So, please consider signing up for an annual sponsor commitment for 2021 and renewing your annual IECRM dues. IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
