In response to the ongoing need for COVID testing and a designated testing site in the North Metro community, IECRM is once again welcoming a “Colorado Drive-Up COVID Testing Team” in the North parking lot of its main campus in Northglenn for the next few months for COVID PCR testing. The drive-up testing will operate DAILY Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and depending on the demand, they may add a 1/2 day on weekends or may alter the days of the week if demand is low. More details and updated hours of operation will be posted here: https://www.cocoviddriveup.com/
A few things to note:
The testing is NOT rapid. It is an expedited lab process that provides results in less than a day. For example, if an individual tests before 1:30 p.m. they will receive results electronically by 7 p.m. If they test after 1:30 p.m. they will receive results the next morning. More effective than rapid testing and more efficient than other PCR based tests. The testing is drive-up access only. Testing is not free, however, they accept health insurance, private/self pay and COVID CARES ACT eligible customers. The testing is about $100 per test.
This effort helps support our qualifications for locating in an Enterprise Zone which is a win-win benefit for nonprofits and private sector organizations to support economic empowerment and workforce development. “We are committed to help the City of Northglenn and the surrounding area ensure the health and safety of its citizens,” says Marilyn Akers Stansbury, CEO of IECRM. “We are very supportive of the community and will remain that way. Our goal is to see us persevere through COVID and arrive at a day where it no longer remains the level of threat it is today.”
