December 3, 2019

Grab a holiday treat and enjoy this month’s eNews!

2019 has been a terrific year for IECRM, and I am always inspired by our dedicated members, engaged partners, wonderful staff and instructors, and passionate apprentices as I learn about your companies, your lives, and the ways you each contribute to the community and the industry we represent.

December brings the spirit of giving season celebrating the global #GivingTuesday initiative on December 3rd and Colorado Gives Day #COGivesDay on December 10th all designed to promote the importance of donating time, resources or talents to impact local challenges. Please see the article in this issue on economic empowerment Enterprise Zones and how you can support IECRM’s workforce development outreach efforts by contributing a tax deductible donation.

If you didn’t get a chance to see “The Current War” this fall in movie theaters about the battle between Edison and Westinghouse to determine whose electrical system will power the new century, you missed the premiere of IECRM’s movie theater ad encouraging a career in the electrical industry. Join us as we Parade into the Holiday Season

This coming Friday, December 6th, IECRM members, apprentices, alumni, partners, spouses, children, and friends are invited to our Family-Friendly Holiday Party, coinciding with the LIVE broadcast of the 45th Annual 9NEWS Parade of Lights, where IECRM’s Sparkling Ice Castle float will make its third appearance in the parade. Skip the line at the Mall and join special guests this year, Santa and the lovely Mrs. Claus. It’s not too late to register for this fun and warm way to celebrate the holidays and view the parade with prepaid parking. Tickets and more information are available here. If you have not yet made holiday plans with your staff, consider making our holiday party YOUR holiday party! Leave the planning to us. Groups of 10 or more receive special party perks. And if you haven’t walked the parade with the IECRM Team in the past, come join us on Friday or Saturday night, December 6th or 7th. Watching the faces of children and adults light up along the parade route will bring joy to your heart this season.

Give a Gift to IECRM this Season by Sharing a Google Review

December is IECRM Social Media month and on our list for Santa are year-end Google reviews, and more “likes” and “followers” on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram. Another gift we’ve whispered in Santa’s ear and told the Elves about is to be able to see and share all the holiday fun you are having through photos and images from IECRM events and celebrations held by our members, partners, staff and apprentices. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater on December 20tht (Ugly Christmas Sweater Day) or anytime during the month and share those images with us by tagging them with #iecrm. They are always great fun and good for a few Santa-like belly laughs. It might even inspire a company visit from one of Santa’s elves.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
