    • To learn what you didn’t know you needed to know about EV & Solar opportunities, options and rebates in Colorado.
    • This event is for contractors, partners, employees, apprentices, and the community.

One more way to “connect through technology” is to attend the Annual IECRM Summit Awards. This year we are moving the event to a wonderful new venue – The Cable Center at DU – where the origins of cable and telecommunications will integrate with the future of electrification! Join us for this amazing evening on Thursday, May 5 recognizing excellence in the electrical industry!  If you have any more questions, please Contact Us.

I look forward to connecting with you in person this Spring!

MEMBER ALERT: LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

APRIL FOOLS: Only this is no joke!

This week House Bill 22-1346 was introduced in the Colorado legislature. The bill has significant impacts on the electrical industry and would change existing Colorado law to reduce the current 3:1 electrical ratio of Apprentices to JWs to 1:1. IECRM opposes this legislative change in ratio for a number of reasons including workforce and economic impacts.

The following ACTIONS BY YOU TODAY are needed to oppose this legislation.

  1. CONTACT a member of the Business Affairs & Labor Committee this week stating your Opposition to HB 22-1346
  2. SIGN UP for IECRMs legislative alerts to receive updates and the next steps to track and oppose this legislative reduction in licensed electrician-to-apprentice ratio. Sign up here.
  3. EMAIL specific feedback, information, or comments to [email protected] using HB 22-1346 or RATIO in the subject line.

Note that IECRM fully supports the enforcement of the existing ratio of 3:1 per state law and enforcement of 2:1 on OA/Davis Bacon/public sector required work per approved federal standards. It is the current oversight authority and responsibility of DORA and local entities to enforce ratio requirements. IECRM supports DORA and local jurisdictional authority and expectations to enforce ratio requirements as the current statute allows.
