With the emergence of a new year, I’ve been thinking “What’s New in 2022!” This is a statement you will likely hear me say throughout the year whether I am inquiring about impacts you see in the industry or sharing with you courses, calls to action, or content important to your business. A few things that excite me as we look ahead are the continued growth of the electrical industry: the innovations we see in systems, devices, and technology to improve safety, productivity, and functionality; how we evolve our training programs to meet industry skill requirements; and the opportunities we have to expand our outreach to young people and job seekers looking for a new career pathway.
In this kickoff to the 2022 edition of eNews, we ask you to look at us anew! Join a committee you have never served on before (click here to join an IECRM committee), attend an upcoming quarterly member luncheon or happy hour, or zoom into one of our hot topic monthly Member Forums (Click here to review the most recent IECRM Member Forum). Hold a company event or department meeting at IECRM utilizing your member benefits to access the Great Room, Board Room or classrooms. And for sure, submit a nomination for an EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT during the Annual Summit Awards application process (click here for more information).
When I thought about the theme of “What’s New in 2022!” I hadn’t expected a new COVID variant to sweep through the country at the speed of light (click here for updated COVID information), a lifting of the ruling on the new OSHA/ETS mandate in the middle of the holiday season with an upcoming January 10 deadline (click here for more information about the mandate), or the ongoing challenges in manufacturing and logistics in the supply chain (Click here to review this topic discusses in the last IECRM Member Forum.
