Greetings! I hope you all had a great summer, took some time off to spend quality time with friends and family, and are recharged for another productive year of business. I had the opportunity to spend a week in Chautauqua, New York, relaxing, hiking, and taking in a number of classes, presentations and performances. My favorite was kayaking at sunrise!
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. All month, mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness. IECRM will be offering two online Member Forums this month to bring attention to and provide resources for employers to address this increasing issue in the construction industry. In early October, more than 30 IEC Rocky Mountain members, partners, apprentices, and staff will be heading to Louisville, Kentucky, for the National IEC convention SPARK: Power Tomorrow to see the latest innovations and technology in the industry, defend our chapter’s IEC National award titles from last year and cheer on Christian Veeder of APCO Electric as he competes in the IEC National Wire-Off Competition for the grand title of National Apprentice of the Year!

We encourage all of our members to register and join us at SPARK: Power Tomorrow to make new industry connections, generate new perspectives, and receive new inspiration and insights that will power your business and the industry forward. It’s a busy time of year at IECRM as we head into fall, and our apprenticeship training is four weeks in, with nearly 2,000 students and 42 instructors getting settled into classes and as we open enrollment for our “Late-Start” Apprentice Training Program on Monday, September 12 click here for important dates. We expect to fill up quickly, so don’t delay. Contractors/ employers: Register your students using the FlashPoint system. If you have not yet received your FlashPoint credentials, please fill out this short Google Form.
Looking toward 2023, IECRM is your one-stop for the State of Colorado’s requirement to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for ALL electrical licenses.
