40th Anniversary Party, Expo & Open House

Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) hosted a 40th Anniversary Party, Expo & Open House event at the IECRM Northglenn Main Campus. The Expo spanned across 4 days (July 26-29) as we welcomed our 2021-22 students to school in style with food, drinks, cupcakes, prizes, and 15 local and national Industry Partners that showcased the latest products, tools, technology, services, and special offers that support the electrical industry.

On Thursday, July 29, new and longtime IECRM members came out to join in on the fun, network in person, and celebrate IECRM’s 40th Anniversary with a ceremonial cake cutting. IECRM member contractors were invited to a special VIP Lounge with exclusive prizes, snacks, and a full-service bar.

“It was wonderful to welcome back our first through fourth-year apprentices. While this is completely new to first-year students, in-person classes are a first for our second-year students as well, having been forced online for their entire first year due to COVID. It was heartwarming to welcome back our third and fourth-year students. We have come to know many by name over the course of their training. In addition to the excitement of students returning to campus, I was happy to welcome new IECRM members The Ryall Group and Centrica, meet new team members with Emerson/Greenlee at the AIS booth, be “Kerri Williams, IECRM Industry Partner of the Year” for an afternoon at the IDEAL booth (an impossible task as she’s so amazing!) and see so many partners, members, apprentices, and our IECRM friends and family together for four days of celebrating forty!” said Marilyn Akers Stansbury, IECRM CEO.

“It was a joy to meet long-time electrician and IECRM member Michael Bauer and his wife with Automatic Electric who are still in the industry after so many years! Congratulations to Sarah Corwin (Moll) on her new role as the Senior Life Safety Systems Executive at Johnson Controls. Welcome back to Laura Heon with Centrica after a few years outside of the association. I look forward to our members learning more about the energy benchmarking solutions Centrica brings to the industry. I would also like to recognize City Electric Supply for engaging with us at the EXPO and for recently upgrading their membership to a Platinum Level. You may have met

Jeff Rodenberg of Casey Industrial who serves on the Colorado Board of SkillsUSA, an organization we look forward to becoming more involved with to connect with future electrical apprentices.

Also, I haven’t seen so many decorated cupcakes and scrumptious cake all in one place since the National Apprenticeship Week in 2019!

Many thanks to Team IECRM, the 40th Anniversary Task Force, and the IECRM Board of Directors for great ideas, all hands on deck, and decades of support!” said Marilyn.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
