2020-21 IECRM Board of Directors and New Members Took Full Advantage of Quarterly Membership Luncheon on Thursday, February 27th

Early in the morning on Thursday, February 27, the IECRM Board of Directors met for their annual strategic planning meeting to light the path of future initiatives at IECRM. The board later joined IECRM staff to welcome nearly 60 members to the first Quarterly Membership Luncheon of the year. Following the luncheon, contractor members stayed to sharpen their FlashPoint database skills with an hour-long training session.

This quarter’s luncheon featured a special panel discussion on Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace, moderated by IEC National Foundation Director, LaNa Howard. Thank you to panelists and Diversity & Inclusion Committee members Leighland Gutierrez, Sam Gluck, Dennis Walker, and Londell Jackson who invite you to join the committee at the next meeting on Wednesday, April 8. Panelists gave examples of best practices demonstrated in their current companies. Click here for a recap of the Diversity & Inclusion Panel Discussion.

Following the presentation on diversity and inclusion, the focus shifted to sharing valuable tips and member benefits to get the most from an IECRM membership

  • Basic Member Benefits & Services: room rentals, the OA service, hire list, borrowed worker program, ‘turn-key’ safety program, legislative awareness & representation, benefits, and discounts offered by our Industry Partners, informative communications, and more.
  • Training & Educational Opportunities: the four-year apprenticeship training program, journeyman prep, safety and code review classes, and continuing education seminars for contractors.
  • Ways to Become Involved: annual events, awards program, national recognition, special events, and networking opportunities including various committees to serve your association…and your industry as well!
  • How Industry Partners Work with You: more than 80 industry partner member companies have joined the Chapter in order to provide you with specialized products and services designed to help you succeed.

IECRM staff announced quarterly FlashPoint Training sessions for contractors after each membership luncheon in 2020 as a request from multiple contractors that attended the Annual OA Contractor meeting. To better serve the needs of the IECRM contractors and requests for improved apprenticeship management, IECRM launched a new enterprise system called FlashPoint to track all apprenticeship actions, including real-time OJT hours, registration and tuition, grades and attendance, and much more! At the training, contractors saw new FlashPoint features, explored new reports, learned tips and tricks, and reviewed step by step instructions for processes to manage students.

Please join us for the next Quarterly Membership Luncheon and FlashPoint Training on Thursday, May 21 at IECRM in Northglenn. Register for the Thursday, May 21 Member Luncheon or the FlashPoint Training today.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
