Open Enrollment Underway for IECRM’s 2022-23 Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program!
Open Enrollment for the Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter (IECRM) apprenticeship training program is now open to members and non-members. Register and pay in full by Friday, July 8th, to receive the early bird discount on tuition. The enrollment period closes on Friday, July 22, or when all seats are filled. Classes will begin the week of Monday, August 8th.
IECRM’s Four-Year Apprenticeship Training Program is accredited by the US Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Apprenticeship (OA/BAT), recognized by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools Board.
In addition to students receiving the state-mandated classroom instruction while earning their 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, IECRM students also earn up to 44 credit hours toward an Associate’s degree at a Colorado community college. These credits are transferable to an Associate’s in Applied Science or an Applied Technology degree. Graduates of the training program can also earn up to 53 credits toward a Bachelor’s degree through CSU Global.
“The vast majority of our students are employed full time as apprentices while they are attending school at IECRM,” says Marilyn Stansbury, CEO of the organization. “Our graduates literally ‘earn while they learn’ and many contractor employers pay tuition for their electrical students.” According to Stansbury, graduates typically earn $50,000+ after graduation, with no school debt.
Unemployed students can apply for tuition assistance and may receive free tuition and books.
“Virtually all of our students leave our program with no student debt, a full-time job, skills that take them anywhere, and a lifelong learning, sustainable living wage to support a family,” says Stansbury.
