Mandatory Annual IECRM Contractor Meeting
Attendance is required for contractors who are part of the State Apprenticeship Agency – Apprenticeship Colorado (formally OA Program).
IECRM is a certified training provider and sponsor for the Colorado State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA). This designation allows our member companies with employees in our IECRM Apprenticeship School to bid on government projects with Davis-Bacon wage requirements on a tiered scale. This tiered scale enables your company to provide more competitive bids.
The Annual Contractor meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Main IECRM Campus in Northglenn – Lunch will be provided. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:00 AM and end at 2:00 PM.
If you are registered with IECRM as an SAA Contractor, please RSVP for the Annual IECRM Contractor Meeting. This meeting is required for SAA contractors and will cover important rules, regulations, updates, and the rights and responsibilities of SAA-registered employers and apprentices for 2024. If you cannot attend, please send a representative from your company.
To be registered with this Program, the contractor’s membership must be in good standing at IECRM. Apprentices must be registered in the program and enrolled in classes or signed up for the next enrollment period at IECRM. Finally, apprentices must complete on-the-job training (OJT) forms monthly on FlashPoint.
The SAA Program registration ties directly to the requirements to sit for a Journeyman’s license. To take the Journeyman exam, apprentices must have a combination of four years of “on-the-job” training experience and 8,000 OJT hours. Licensure as a Journeyman requires only 288 hours of classroom training. However, apprentices must have 576 hours of classroom training to earn a Program Certificate from the Colorado State Apprenticeship Agency, which verifies documented hours of electrical training.
If you are not registered with us as an SAA Contractor or have questions about registering, please email Michael Davis, IECRM Compliance Manager, at [email protected] and/or RSVP to attend the Mandatory OA Meeting to learn more.
