The right person for this position:
The perfect fit for this position is someone who enjoys working as a part of a team to achieve success. A Service Project Manager is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and is able to prioritize and manage competing/changing priorities. They have great customer service and sales skills and understand what it takes for a project to be successful for both the customer and the company. They have a thorough understanding of commercial electrical and are able to help their electricians and customers troubleshoot and problem solve. They are ready to be a key player in the company’s success and have a desire to grow into a department leader.

Location:
Denver, Colorado – 100% in person with local travel to jobsites required (via driving).

Responsibilities:
•Exemplify the Carlton Core – purpose and core values and support company goals, growth and development.
•Develop and maintain profitable customer relationships.
•Receive phone calls and dispatch electricians for T&M work orders, prioritizing emergency work orders and preferred customers.
•In company project management software – set up workorders (and customers as needed), assign the work orders to the electricians, assist electricians with inputting time, materials and descriptions of work, then invoice the customer in a timely manner.
•Manage projects valued at $500-$250,000. Total annual value of projects managed will be $1.5-$3M. You will manage these projects from cradle to grave. Estimating, building, and billing.
•Review customer contracts and have a thorough understanding of scope and responsibility for each project.
•Manage and lead a team of 1-5 electricians. This number may grow as the company grows.
•Manage the on-call electrician list.
•Assist in ensuring your team of electricians have all of their time entered correctly by Monday mornings to be processed by payroll.
•Promote and be an advocate for safety with both the electricians and customers. Uphold Carlton Electric’s safety standards and work with the Safety Coordinator to ensure employee and customer safety during special projects and T&M work orders.

Qualifications:
•Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
•Know how to support the field (Our #1 priority for PMs here).
•5+ years of project management experience required.
•5+ years of electrical field experience required.
•Valid drivers license and good driving record required.
•Intermediate/Advanced computer skills required (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, etc.).
•Proficient and professional reading and writing skills required (emails, grammar, punctuation, etc.).
•Understand a WIP (Work in Progress) schedule and over/under billings.
•Have great customer service and business communication skills.
•Experience in Viewpoint/Spectrum preferred.
•Experience in Bluebeam preferred.
•Must be able to pass a background check & drug test.

Reporting:
The Service Project Manager reports to the President.

Working Conditions:
•Typical office setting noise levels to be expected. Semi-open office concept.
•Frequent travel to jobsites, both indoor and outdoor with variable weather conditions, will be required.
Compensation Package
Location: Denver, Colorado
Start Date: TBD
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Schedule: General working hours of Monday-Friday 7:00AM – 4:00PM. Work may require nights and weekends depending on project needs.

Pay Rate: $80,000-$115,000+ depending on experience. *

*This pay rate is the good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of this job posting. Carlton Electric reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate if they believe the new range is determined in good faith. Carlton Electric reserves the right to adjust compensation based on, but not limited to, approved factors such as seniority, merit, quantity and/or quality systems, location, education and/or training, and required travel.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

 

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.


We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy


We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.


● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

 

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
