IECRM, an energy trade association representing 225 companies in the Rocky Mountain region, today announced its 2018-19 Board of Directors. In its 36th year, Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) is dedicated to educating, promoting, and advancing the energy industry and merit shop philosophy.

The following are named to the 2018-19 Board of Directors:

Lindsey Cox, 1st Electric Contractors
Pete Farreny, Weifield Group Contracting
Nathan Goodman, EATON Corporation
Leighland Gutierrez, Courtesy Electric
David Jones, QED Electric Supply
Justin Martin, Bret’s Electric
Herb Phelps, Network Insurance Services, LLC
David Scott, Encore Electric Inc.

IECRM’s Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from 12 energy contractors and industry businesses. It is the overarching governing body of the association focused on creating business opportunities and providing the programs that keep the electrical and energy industries thriving.

The Board of Directors was elected at the IECRM Annual State of the Industry Business Dinner and Board Election on November 8, 2017 at the Wellshire Inn in Denver. The IECRM event was supported by Premier Sponsor Federated Insurance with more than 140 IECRM members in attendance.

Special guest Jim Kirchheimer, Senior Vice President of Member Experience with the Downtown Denver Partnership, provided attendees with an overview of the important work the organization does to support the vitality of downtown Denver as the region’s unique, diverse, vibrant, and economically healthy urban core. Kirchheimer shared DDP’s excitement for the upcoming 9NEWS Parade of Lights and IECRM’s unique involvement, and recognized several Partnership members among the IECRM community.

Mary Beth Armbruster, Director of IECRM Operations and Member Services, led an “illuminating” overview of the work many IECRM volunteers contributed to the design, creation, and crafting of the stunning new “Sparkling Ice Castle” float for the 9NEWS Parade of Lights, and how the relationship with the Downtown Denver Partnership has been so unique and positive. Armbruster shared photographs of the float’s progress and final reveal of the breathtaking ice castle, lit with state of the art color-changing LED lights,  and concluded by presenting the “Keys to the Castle” to Jim Kirchheimer of DDP. The Ice Princess (IECRM Apprentice Heather Volk) and Ice Prince (IECRM Apprentice Ryan Gimeno) were officially crowned to represent IECRM atop the float. It was truly a special opportunity for the electrical contracting and renewable energy industry.

Among the new board members elected, IECRM welcomed four new members to the board: Rob Cheney, Leighland Gutierrez, Nathan Goodman, and Justin Martin. Special appreciation was given to three board members rotating off the board after many years of service: Chris Cumpton, Integrity Electrical Solutions;  Janet Martin, Bret’s Electric and Paula Nolan, Convergint Technologies.

Sponsors of the evening included Federated Insurance, Milwaukee, Corey Engineering, Allcable, and Bauerle & Company.  These sponsors made the venue, dinner, cocktails, wine, and dessert a special experience.
