IECRM’s Pac Fund Gives Members A Voice On Colorado’s Capitol Hill – Donate Now!

To further IECRM’s policy & advocacy goals on issues that are important to support general business, workforce development, and the electrical industry, an IECRM PAC Fund was created many years ago by the association to raise funds in support of legislative candidates collectively and to advocate on behalf of IECRM members with candidates and legislators in an integral and impactful way. IECRM regularly works to build relationships and educate key decision-makers about the construction and electrical industry. It takes funding and resources to run a campaign and to engage with a collective voice for the industry.

IECRM actively promotes issues at the federal, state, and local level, including Workforce Development, Labor & Employment, and Economic & Infrastructure Development. IECRM asks for your PAC donation to show our financial support to state legislative candidates who have – and will – support issues of importance to our industry

Important national business and policy issues are facing electrical contractors in the State of Colorado; specifically related to the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act and the Fair and Open Competition Act (FOCA).

JOBS Act/Short Term Pell: This is legislation that would allow Pell Grants to be used for non-accredited programs in community colleges that can oftentimes lead to an individual entering the skilled trades.

Fair and Open Competition Act (FOCA):

Considering President Biden’s executive order that requires the signing of a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) as a condition of winning a federally funded contract, this bill has become more important. FOCA would overturn the EO, making it illegal to require a PLA as a condition for being awarded a construction contract with the federal government.

It is critical for our voices in the industry to be heard at the State Capitol with the upcoming issues that the industry is facing.

There is still time for your individual financial contribution to make a significant difference to the candidates and initiatives we support. Please make a donation of any amount up to $625 directly to the IECRM PAC Fund. This will enable IECRM to provide funds to candidates in highly contested races or to support candidates in the caucus events just before the January 2021 legislative session.

Make your individual donation today to the IECRM PAC Fund.

The IECRM Government Relations Committee asks for your support for these IECRM-endorsed candidates running to serve in elected office in the Colorado legislature. Support can include financial donations to the IECRM PAC Fund, donations directly to the candidates’ campaign, making calls, meeting the candidate for coffee, inviting them to tour your business, and casting your vote for them if they are in your district. Redistricting changed the configuration of some districts in this election cycle; please find your legislator via the newly drawn districts and reach out to the candidate to inform them about issues impacting your community and our industry, especially as it relates to education, workforce, economic, and general business issues.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
