IECRM Wire-Off Livestreams on Friday, May 21st
SAVE THE DATE!
Tune in Friday, May 21 to cheer on your favorite apprentice competitor as we live-stream the day-long Wire-Off Skills Challenge competition to test the skills and knowledge of IECRM’s top apprentices. The competition schedule will be emailed to those that register to receive the live-stream link so you know when to tune in.
Each year, hundreds of electrical apprentices enrolled in IEC apprenticeship training programs across the country will put their newly honed skills to the test in skills challenges to compete for prizes and for a spot in the IEC National Competition at the IEC National Convention this fall, here in Denver.
The Annual Wire-Off Competition is a series of full-day electrical skills challenges and national competition qualifier. Competing are ten high performing students from each year from the 4-year Apprenticeship Training Program at IECRM. The challenges consist of basic motor control circuits, line diagrams, materials and circuit installation, and more.
There will not be a “live” audience present that day, but you’ll still be able to cheer on apprentices throughout the day. The Wire-Off will include scheduled cut-aways to contractor offices or gatherings so you can cheer on your apprentices. Apprentices will be interviewed during the day and you might even be able to cheer them on in real-time.
“We are expecting 40 competitors this year to show off their skills and compete,” says Paul Lingo, IECRM Training Director. “Sponsors will also be featured in special streamed messages and promos throughout the day. We hope that members, students, family members, and friends will tune in on Friday, May 21st to watch the live-streamed event,” says Paul.
