IECRM Supports Local Veteran Organizations
DENVER, Colorado – December 20, 2013 – In 2013, IECRM proudly supported several organizations that cater to the unique needs of Veteran men and women residing in the Rocky Mountain States of Colorado and Wyoming.
In June, IECRM donated a complimentary booth at its Energy Industry Job Fair to Veterans Green Jobs, a non-profit organization that matches Colorado military veterans with meaningful employment opportunities in the local energy industry.
“The electrical industry is in need of qualified, hardworking, punctual individuals who pay attention to detail,” said IECRM Assistant Training Director, Paul Lingo, a US Navy Veteran. “Military training has provided that to our veterans, making them the most reliable workforce that you could possibly have. As a veteran myself, I am honored by the opportunities that the electrical industry has provided for me, and its solid foundation for a civilian career.”
December marked the second year that IECRM members, staff, and instructors have hosted and donated to a US Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive. Toys for Tots is a non-profit organization that delivers new toys and gifts to local children throughout the holiday season.
IECRM is currently seeking a local, non-profit organization that supports Veteran needs, to benefit from the proceeds of two dedicated fundraising holes at the Annual IECRM Golf Tournament in September 2014. If you know of a non-profit organization that could benefit, please contact Kristin Kim Haynes, IECRM Director of Operations, at (303) 853-4886.
