IECRM is proud to support the Northglenn community this holiday season through participation in the Toys for Tots program, with the support of the IEC Foundation, and a holiday food drive. In collaboration with two IECRM neighboring organizations, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Bank and Muslim Youth for Positive Impact, an after-school center for youth, IECRM helped distribute books, toys, and food to local families.
Founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947, Toys for Tots began by distributing 5,000 toys to children before Christmas. The program quickly expanded nationwide in 1948, partnering with businesses by 1970 to broaden its reach. Today, Toys for Tots provides support year-round, delivering millions of toys, books, and games to children across the country.
This holiday season, IECRM was honored to contribute to this long-standing effort by supporting local families. Through the food drive, IECRM also donated over 200 pounds of food due to the generous contributions of its students and families.
