IECRM Parade of Lights Float Rolls Again; Third Year Running

Lead the way for the Sparkling Ice Castle of the Future Float!

IECRM will once again repeat its performance in the 45th Annual 9NEWS Parade of Lights this holiday season with IECRM’s Sparkling Ice Castle of the Future Float that will include a few updates to the LED technology and an added new touch or two! In 2017, IECRM students, alumni, contractors, and industry partners designed and built the first new float in more than 30 years for Denver’s beloved electrical holiday parade. Our participation this year includes the float in the parade both nights, 40 walkers from the IECRM community each night to lead the way for the float to light up the streets of downtown, and our Annual Holiday Party.

You are especially invited to join us in the parade; only 40 spots available.  Walk with us and the float both nights of the parade, Friday, December 6th at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 7th at 6 p.m. To participate in the parade, contact Carrie Alleman at

In addition, put your mark on this year’s float.  Volunteers are needed to help with float enhancements and crowd surprises in the parade this year.  Contact Mary Beth Armburster at

Save the Date: Join us for the IECRM holiday party and parade-viewing extravaganza on Friday, December 6,  5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Registration will open in late October.
