IECRM Empowers its Members to Recruit and Retain Top Talent with Powerful Workforce Development Initiatives
IECRM’s workforce development initiatives provide resources to succeed in the dynamic electrical industry. With a keen focus on addressing the industry’s labor shortage and promoting its growth, the following initiatives are designed to provide members with a competitive edge in recruiting and retaining top talent.
- AMPLIFY Pre-Apprenticeship Program: IECRM recruits and provides training and education to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the electrical industry. This program is designed to prepare participants for an electrical apprenticeship by providing hands-on training and classroom instruction in electrical theory, safety, and basic skills. Participants gain valuable certifications in OSHA-10 and CPR, making them ideal candidates for electrical contractor apprenticeships. The program culminates in a hiring fair exclusively for IECRM member contractors. Click here for upcoming AMLIFY sessions.
- Career Fairs: Each spring and summer IECRM hosts multiple Career Fairs and recruits prospective electrical apprentices and experienced electricians to attend. Member contractors that are hiring are invited to host a booth and meet with job seekers. On-site interviews are welcomed and encouraged. IECRM advertises these career fairs through various channels, including, outdoor billboards, radio ads, targeted digital display ads, online job boards, community calendars, those that have called and inquired about apprenticeships, job candidates on IECRM’s hire lists, and more!
