More Information & Other Offereings

Spanish 1st-Year Offering—IECRM will offer a first-year Apprenticeship Training class in Spanish. Please note that the curriculum and books will only be sold in English. Our instructor is bilingual and will teach the course in Spanish. There is limited availability, so sign up early.

FREE English Classes – IECRM has partnered with The Office of New Americans and EnGen to provide free English classes to IECRM students. Spanish learners can access an online platform with the support of a coach who will guide them through the course. Participants will have six months to complete the course, which covers basic English language skills, electrical terminology, and other related topics. The purpose of this course is to assist users in finding and retaining employment. If interested, email [email protected]. Check out this brief video for more information on EnGen.

Fast Track – This course will cover two curriculum years (288 classroom hours) in one school year. We recommend that those interested in this course have at least 6000+ on-the-job training hours. The course is taught live online, two evenings per week. Limited availability, so sign up early.

Math Entrance Exam RequirementAll new students must take the Math Entrance Exam and pass with a 70% or above before attending classes. Those who do not pass the assessment must register for a Math Module (a 3-night math refresher course) and have a second chance to take and pass the assessment.

Placement Exam Policy – New students as well as those with transcripts from a trade-related program will have the opportunity to test out of the first year.

The updated policy will require those with trade-related transcripts with a below-passing score on the placement exam to take an overview course before starting the next school year.

Placement Exams can be scheduled with the IECRM Office. Please call 303-853-4886 to schedule. There is a $75 placement exam fee per exam. This fee is waived for those with trade-related transcripts. All placement exams should be scheduled and taken by June 28, 2024.
