Here’s What Happened During National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) was November 13 – 16, and IECRM took the opportunity to celebrate its apprentices and express gratitude for the hard work and dedication they have to their careers. Dinner was provided each night to all in-person students, and a mini expo was held at the main campus in Northglenn, where Industry Partners offered up tool demos and special deals tailored to the student’s success. Check out the following video for some highlights and IECRM apprentices sharing what they like about being an electrical apprentice: https://youtu.be/tq4JE29G2SE.
In addition to celebrating our currently enrolled students, IECRM held a Membership Luncheon & Policy Forum on Wednesday, November 15. IECRM members were encouraged to attend to discuss policies and issues impacting business, the upcoming legislation session, and regulations affecting apprenticeship. Attendees were given tips on representing their business and the industry at the state and federal levels on issues related to labor & employment.
IECRM opened its doors to prospective students and members for an Electrical Apprenticeship Open House on Thursday, November 16. This event was free to attend and included food and beverages, hands-on electrical tool demos, tours of the classrooms and electrical labs, opportunities to meet IECRM Staff and instructors and learn about IECRM’s 4-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program and what it takes to become a licensed electrician.
A big thank you goes out to our sponsors for helping to provide dinner and dessert each night for our students!
