Spanish 1st-year Offering IECRM will offer a 1st-Year Apprenticeship Training class in Spanish. Please note the curriculum and books will only be sold in English. Our instructor is bilingual and will be teaching the course in Spanish. Limited availability so sign up early.

IECRM is now partnering with The Office of New Americans and EnGen, which offers free English classes for IECRM students. Please click this link to learn more.

Interested? Contact Annette Gauna, Training Manager ([email protected]), for more information.

Please take a moment to watch this brief video about EnGen.

Fast Track – IECRM will once again offer a Fast Track Course. This course will cover two curriculum years (288 classroom hours) in one school year. We do recommend those interested in this course have at least 6000+ on-the-job training hours. This will be offered as two 4-hour evenings on Monday and Thursday. This class also has limited availability so sign up early.

Math Assessment Requirement – Please Ensure All New Students Take the Math Assessment Before Attending Class!

All 1st-Year and Fast Track students must take the Required Math Assessment and pass with a 70% or above before attending class. This is a one-time-only exam; if the student needs to study prior to the exam, we ask that they study pre-algebra math. There are several online resources where one can study math for free such as Khan Academy.

Those who do not pass the Math Assessment MUST register for the 3-Night Math Module to receive a second opportunity to take the Math Assessment.

The 3-Night Math Module is a 12-hour math refresher course taught in a hybrid format (in person or online) over the span of 3 consecutive evenings. The Math Assessment will be offered again to those that complete the module. The cost of the course is $140.

3-Night Math Module
Monday, July 24 – Wednesday, July 26, 2023
5:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Registration for the 3-Night Math Module will open Monday, June 19.

Please ensure your students take the Math Assessment before the 3-Night Math Module starts so they have adequate time to sign up for and plan to take the Math refresher course if needed.

Placement Exam Policy Students with approved apprenticeship program transcripts will no longer need to take a placement exam. Once the transcripts are approved by an IECRM Training Staff Member, the student will be required to enroll in the Placement Overview Class held on Friday, July 21st.

Registration for the Placement Overview classes will open on June 19th.

To be placed in the next year, the student must have approved transcripts and successful completion of the Placement Overview Class.

IECRM will continue to offer placement exams (by appointment only) for those who want to test out of 1st year.

The State of Colorado requires a minimum of 288 classroom training hours combined with a total of 8,000 on-the-job training hours (OJTs) to be eligible to test for Journeyworker licensure.

Please note: Classroom training hours are not accrued for successful placement exams.

The deadline for Placement exams is June 30th.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
