At IECRM, our success is built on the dedication and vision of our staff. As we reflect on our journey from humble beginnings to becoming the largest electrical apprentice training program and IEC Chapter in the nation, we proudly celebrate the milestones of those who have been instrumental in our growth.
Annette Gauna: 27 Years of Dedication
This year, we honor Annette Gauna, IECRM Training Manager, for her remarkable 27 years of service. Annette has been a steadfast witness to IECRM’s transformation from its origins in a garage without heating or air conditioning to the state-of-the-art facility we now call home in Northglenn, Colorado. Her commitment has been a cornerstone of our apprenticeship training program’s growth and success.
A Journey of Growth
IECRM was founded in 1981 with a mission to train the next generation of electricians. Our early years were marked by resilience, operating out of an industrial facility near 70th and Broadway in Denver. By 2015, the growing demand for our programs brought us to a turning point. With nearly 1000 apprentices enrolled, CEO Marilyn Akers Stansbury spearheaded the search for a new location. In 2016, IECRM acquired and renovated a facility in Northglenn, transforming it into a hub for electrical education and administrative excellence. Last year, IECRM made a strategic investment in its future by purchasing the Fort Collins space it had leased for several years. The Fort Collins campus features three classrooms, each seating 32 students, and state-of-the-art electrical training labs for hands-on learning. Additionally, IECRM leases two classrooms at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, expanding training opportunities to the South Denver area.
Both the Main campus in Northglenn and the Fort Collins Campus have conference space and classrooms available for rent and offer this space as a member benefit to hold company parties, meetings, conferences, and more. To inquire about renting a space at one of these facilities, please contact Jodi Sokup, IECRM Event Manager at [email protected].
Today, IECRM boasts over 2,900 apprentices, 15 staff members, and an amazing team of 60 instructors. This growth reflects our dedication to the industry and the strength of our award-winning programs.
