IECRM’s four-year expert program is accredited by the US Department of Labor (DOL) Office of Apprenticeship (OA/BAT), recognized by the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs and approved and regulated by The Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools Board.
The IEC Electrical Training Apprenticeship Program is the answer to both the individual wanting to jump-start their career and the Electrical Contractor who wants skilled and productive employees.
With an increasing dependency on electrical systems in homes and businesses, trained Electricians are more important than ever.
IECRM’s apprenticeship program lets you earn while you learn and obtain a national certification by the US Dept. of Labor.
Our apprenticeship training classes begin each August. If you are already employed by an electrical contractor, they may register you in July prior to the start of school.
If you are not currently employed with an electrical contractor, you can register for school on your own — and IECRM can assist you in finding employment with one of our contractor members.
Here are ways to find employment through IECRM:
1) Check our “Jobs” board for open positions.
2) Attend one of our Career Fairs and meet hiring contractors in person or online.
3) Request to be added to our “Hire List” that is shared with hiring contractors after you attend an initial Office of Apprenticeship (“OA”) interview (held on Tuesdays online). Please click “Get on the Hire List” to receive communications.
Please note: Getting on the Hire List does not register you for classes at IECRM. Please contact IECRM for more information.
For apprentices who cannot make it to one of our campuses, IECRM offers classes online. Each class is taught in real-time with a live instructor who can interact with the class and answer questions. A personal computer/tablet with a camera is required.
IECRM offers a Fast Track Course. This course covers two curriculum years (288 classroom hours) in one school year.
2024 Fast Track Scheduled Days:
We recommend those interested in this course have at least 6000+ on-the-job training hours. This will be offered as two 4-hour evenings on Monday and Thursday.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy
Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.
Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.
We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.
(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)
Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy
We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.
● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.
We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
