Rocky Mountain Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. (IECRM) is the leading electrical and renewable energy contractor trade association in Colorado and Wyoming. IECRM serves member companies in the residential, commercial, industrial, solar, low voltage, system automation and renewable energy industry and educates 3100 electrical apprentices and licensed electricians annually. Dedicated to educating, promoting, and advancing the electrical industry, IECRM is the largest electrical apprenticeship training program among more than 50 chapters of the Washington, DC-based IEC National Association in the United States. IECRM is a nonprofit organization with its main campus located in Northglenn, Colorado.

IECRM’s mission is to promote viable, sustainable, free-market business opportunities by providing vital industry support and leading educational programs for hundreds of independent contractors and affiliate companies across the Rocky Mountain region. IECRM is focused on elevating the quality of the workforce within Colorado and Wyoming through its industry advocacy and outreach, comprehensive continuing education curriculum, and training the next-generation electrician. Our customers are electrical contracting companies, licensed electricians seeking continuing education, businesses that provide products and services to the industry, and students enrolled in our apprenticeship training program. About the Role:
The Marketing & Communication Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and executing projects and specific marketing and communication tasks including the organization website and other digital communications. This position will manage website requests, assessing and prioritizing to reflect the mission and goals of IECRM. Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, this position will execute current and new strategies, tasks, processes, operations, and administration for the website and various communications. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, and develop, maintain and update website content. This role will also work with different departments to generate new ideas, strategies, and relay industry-led initiatives through creative communication and marketing strategies. Exceptional organizational skills are a must. This person will demonstrate a continuous effort to improve and upgrade operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide excellent service, and must bring a high level of integrity, creativity, and innovation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Website, Social Media & Digital Communications:

  • Lead on WordPress website maintenance and content updates
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization’s website
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues
  • Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures
  • Identify and respond to all website security breaches
  • Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information
  • Create appropriate website content aligned with the organization’s strategy
  • Proactively audit website for mapping integrity
  • Improve the User Experience of the website regularly
  • Continue developing, updating, and maintaining the website AI integration
  • Plan, implement, manage, and monitor the organization’s social media platforms
  • Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regularly monitor competitor websites
  • Update Job Board, confirming posts are only from IECRM Members in good standing
  • Maintain consistency between website and database events
  • Assist with managing and cleaning up data using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Proficiency in both is required
  • Maintain website backup and exports to an internal server as well as to the Cloud
  • Produce, design, and post-digital and paper media for IECRM campuses
  • Assist and develop marketing materials in collaboration with the Marketing Manager for events, advertising and branding efforts (logos, brochures, mailers, etc.)
  • Assist with programming and presentations for events, including AV, PowerPoint, video production and digital assets, etc.
  • Maintains external facing IECRM Events Calendar

    Administrative:

  • Be readily available to answer and screen phone calls in a timely and professional manner, assisting callers and routing calls as necessary
  • Provide polite and professional communications via phone, e-mail, and mail
  • Works closely with Marketing Manager on timelines, creative concepts, and messaging
  • Assist IECRM team members with planning, implementation and execution of special projects, including member and industry partner services and school services support
  • Assist with execution of events and outreach activities, as assigned (some after hours) including set-up, take down, clean-up, loading and unloading of materials for events and programs
  • Provide members and students with excellent customer service
  • Assist colleagues with administrative tasks
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned

    Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in knowledge of WordPress and Elementor
  • Strong aptitude with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience using business email services, such as Gmail and Outlook
  • Highly skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress, dynamic environment
  • Experienced and proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and flexible
  • Ability to meet goals by adhering to strict timelines
  • Attention to detail and maintaining high-quality standards is a must
  • Excellent service-driven, customer-focused skills
  • Previous experience with, or an ability to learn to use common office equipment, such as modern phone systems, printers, and copy machines; and new digital software tools and systems.

    Communication/Interpersonal Skills:

  • Impeccable writing and editing skills with excellent command of grammar
  • Ability to write effective marketing and promotional materials in support of communications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team through communication, cooperation, information sharing, and problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated
  • Must consistently present a positive, professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to display a non-judgmental, objective attitude toward coworkers, students, and members

    Position reports to: Marketing Manager

    Salary Range: $42,000-$52,000 annually

    IECRM offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings, short-term disability, life insurance, wellness reimbursement and paid time off. This is a full-time role that works from our Northglenn office. Typical hours will vary between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours to support training or member events. Scheduling will be discussed and arranged as needed.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

 

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.


To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.


We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy


We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.


● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.

 

We encourage all students who are employed with a member company to work with their employer to register and pay through the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process. This will ensure the student is paying the lowest possible rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.
